This was a shorter project for me, and I only spent a few months on it. During that time, I primarily focused on the small enemy design and implementation. To facilitate rapid prototyping within the short timeframe, I created a light, sensor-based, AI behavior system that could be easily extended with new states. Using this tool, I designed and implemented all the basic enemy types within just a few weeks. Unfortunately, due to asset constraints, several behaviors, attacks, and even enemies had to be cut altogether. Regardless, I am happy with the end product, given the conditions I was under by both the tight deadlines and IP restrictions.
